Final Product:Water Filtration System
As a simple design, the water filter's basic function is to use reverse osmosis filters and UV light to achieve the end goal of clean drinking water. Planning and designing this water filter was tiresome when looking to incorporate complicated features and aspects. Which this made the final product more like a science fair project than a unique engineered design. However, since the final product is simple, it has allowed me to think like an engineer and learn like a scientist- this being the most important part of this project.
Through out the time that was used to create and complete this project, the idea of application for the final product was changed significantly. The result is to apply this water filtration system to gutters and sprinkler water run off on homes and small streams (or potentially rivers) in nature. Principally, it is to represent the act of filtering out our negative impact on the natural world and help preserving good water quality for us and the environment.
